I also find that having my backup to include all partitions makes the creation of a replacement disk (or a restore due to a virus) to be a much easier process as a full disk backup enables a full disk restore with fewer restore steps than a siingle partiton restore of all partitions. The resulting file will be one large file but the partitions will be listed inside individually so a single partition restore is still possble even if the backup file is one large file. My prefernce is to have one or more of my tasks to be a full and complete backup of all partitions on the disk.
